Process

What needs to occur in order for you to diagnose your patient?

1. First, as a class, you will read the Human Body WebQuest Instructions. This will help you navigate the WebQuest easily.

2. Then you’ll be assigned to a team of 3 students. Each of you will have a different role in the group. The first group member will be the cardiologist. The second group member will be the neurologist. The third member of the group will be the gastroentrologist. Look at each of these roles before deciding who will be each specialist. Please complete the WebQuest Roles Information Sheet, as a group, to hand in to Ms. Stamer, before you continue on with your task.

3. Each member will conduct research on their body systems and complete a specific task, using their Doctor Specialty Chart.

4. After you have conducted your own personal research, your group will collaborate and complete the Clinic Chart

5. Once your group has completed the Clinic Chart, follow all of the instructions for diagnosing your patient by reading the Mystery Patient Instructions. Then receive your patient card from Ms. Stamer. Complete the Mystery Patient Worksheet for your card. Use your textbook, notes and the internet to help you diagnosis your patient.

6. Each team member is responsible for completing specific slides for your Prezi. Read the Prezi Presentation Instructions before beginning. Use the Prezi Division Worksheet to help you keep track of who completes which parts. Make sure you are all working together to complete the assignment.

7. Practice your presentation. Write index cards so you know what you want to say. Hand in the index cards after your presentation to Ms. Stamer. Make sure your name is on them!

8. Complete the WebQuest Reflection, also found on the conclusion page. This will be tied into your participation grade for the assignment. This is done independently, not as a group.

9. Utilize the WebQuest Checklist to help you keep track of the tasks assigned. Turn this into Ms. Stamer on the last day of the WebQuest.
